Earlyon Clare Page
Earlyon Clare Page, 80, of Johnston City, passed away at 2:40 p.m., Friday, October 27, 2017 at her residence with her loving family by her side.

Earlyon was born November 2, 1936 in Peoria to Earl and Clare (Blockley) Hines. She married Dexter Page on April 14, 1973 in Johnston City. They have shared 44 years of marriage together.

Earlyon was a bookkeeper for many years with Novacom Communications in Herrin. She had also been city treasurer for the city of Johnston City from 1985-1987.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Johnston City. She was a 1954 graduate of Johnston City High School. She enjoyed genealogy, reading and growing and tending to her roses. She was known for her quick wit and great sense of humor.

She is survived by husband, Dexter Page of Johnston City; three daughters, Eileen (Patrick) Boyt of Marion, Amy (Bart) Lind of Johnston City, Lynanne (Connie Eldridge) Page of Herrin; seven grandchildren, Daniel Boyt, Lucas Boyt, Garrett (Tanisha) Boyt, Olivia (Evan) Porter, Forrest Lind, Casey (Nicolaus) Brodeur and Israel Jackson; three great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Chloe Boyt and Isla Porter; sister, Evonne Descamp of Johnston City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Hillion Hines; step-father, Michael Shannon.

Graveside service will be 2:00 pm., Sunday, November 5, 2017 in Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City with Rev. Msgr. Thomas D. Flach officiating. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.

Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City is entrusted with the arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Johnston City Library. Memorial envelopes will be available at the cemetery at the time of services.
