Obituary for Richard Hubler

Richard  Hubler
Richard D. Hubler, 82, of Johnston City, passed away at 4:45 a.m., Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at his residence.

Richard was born September 27, 1935 in Pinkneyville to Vernor Richard and Gracie Matilda (Giacomo) Hubler. He married Janet Sue DeWitt on April 9, 1960. Together they have shared nearly 58 years of marriage.

Richard was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a graduate of SIU-C with his degree in computer science and mathematics. He enjoyed farming and operating his saw mill.

Richard is survived by his wife Janet; two children, Cynthia Sue Buschsculte of Carterville and Richard Lynn (Shelli) Hubler of Salem; three grandchildren, Amelia Bullock of Lincoln, Marissa and Jared Hubler of Salem; one great-grandson, Aaron Waldron of Johnston City; sister, Geraldine Matilda Taylor of Granite City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, JoAnn Audrey Hash.

Private Interment will be in Mounds City National Cemetery.

Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City is entrusted with the arrangements.
