Obituary for John Victor Bione Jr.

John Victor Bione, Jr., 60, of Carbondale and formerly of Johnston City passed away 6:05 a.m., Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Veterans Affairs Community Living Center in Marion.

Victor was born February 7, 1958 in Marion to John Victor and Lucinda Mae (Jack) Bione, Sr.

Victor was retired, having been employed by John A. Logan College in the Maintenance Department. He had previously worked for William A. Jack Construction as a carpenter. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and he served his country honorably. Victor was of the Christian faith.

Victor is survived by his two children, Shannon Bione of Sherwood, AR. And Nikko Bione of Carbondale; sister, Deborah Drew & husband Gregory E. of Marion; nephew, Aaron Drew of Marion. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins whom he loved very much. Three special grand dogs who held a special place in his heart, Griswold, Reaper and Charlie Rose.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Lesa Kay Bione and a grand dog, Abby.

Celebration of life service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City with Rev. Gaylon Stewart officiating. Military Honors are being accorded by the Marion VFW Post #1301 and members of the United States Navy Military Honors Team concluding the services at the funeral home.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis CARE Animal Shelter. Memorial envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
