Obituary for Charles Dean "Bubba" Gill Jr.

Charles Dean "Bubba"  Gill Jr.
Charles Dean “Bubba” Gill, Jr., 22 of Johnston City, passed away at 6:43 p.m., Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion from injuries sustained in an accident at Ferne Clyffe State Park.

Bubba was born September 6, 1995 in Decatur to Charles Dean and Carrie (Lambert) Gill, Sr.

Bubba was employed by Aisin in Marion where he was a forklift operator in the warehouse. He was a 2014 graduate of Crab Orchard High School. He was of the Christian faith.

Bubba liked to live life to the fullest as he enjoyed going four wheeling and mudding with his buddies. He also liked to play with his X-Box. He will be deeply missed by his family.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Carrie and Raymond Browell, Jr. of Johnston City; two sisters, Harlie Gill of Herrin and Shelbie Temple of Findlay; one brother, Hunter Gill of Johnston City; grandparents, Beverly and Bob Wheatley of Desoto, Jewell Gill of Shelbyville and Tom and Joy Davidson of Lowery City, MO. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles; cousins and two nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Gill; step-grandfather, Raymond Browell, Sr. and an uncle, Jason Thompson.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 12, 2018 in Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City with Rev. Gordon Reach officiating. Interment will follow at County Line Cemetery near Thompsonville.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City is entrusted with the arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Memorial envelopes are available at the funeral home.
