Obituary for Larry Wayne Adams

Larry  Wayne  Adams
Larry Wayne Adams, 77, of Marion and a former resident of Johnston City, passed away at 11:02 p.m., Friday, June 15, 2018 in Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.

Larry was born April 12, 1941 in Jonesboro to Merle and Violette (Cash) Adams. He married Jeanette L. Hodson on October 22, 1968 in Johnston City. They have shared nearly 50 years of marriage together.

Larry was retired, having been a machinist with Diagraph Bradley for 24 years. He retired in 2006. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the First Church of The Nazarene in Marion. He enjoyed going out to eat with wife and loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Larry is survived by his wife, Jeanette; three children, Diane Adams of Vienna, West Virginia, John W. Adams of Marion and Jerry Dean (Kobra) Adams of Marion; six grandchildren, Jason Prunty, Amanda (Jason) Mugrage, Brittan Prunty, Ashton (Jen) Prunty, Allie and Bayly Adams and three great-grandchildren, Zachary Mugrage, Layla and Braylen Prunty, sister, Ramona Jean Krantz of Noel, MO; sister-in-law, Judy Adams of Bradley, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Herman Scobey; two brothers, Thomas and Ray Adams.

Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 20, 2018 in Freedom Cemetery, south of Marion with Rev. Bobby Parker officiating. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.

Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City is entrusted with the arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Church of The Nazarene. Memorial envelopes will be available at the graveside service.
