Obituary for Jean Harvey

Jean  Harvey
Jean Harvey, 75 of Marion, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior at at 5:19 p.m., Thursday, January 17, 2019 in Marion.

Jean was born January 24, 1943 in Birkenhead, England to Alec Forster and Gladys Roberts. She married Kenneth Harvey on May 2, 1962 in Zion, Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 15, 2011. They shared 48 years of marriage together.

Jean was a homemaker and also volunteered her time before health began to fail at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Marion.

Jean loved spending time with her husband at their family cabin in Mauston, WI. She also loved painting ceramics and making crafts. She enjoyed decorating for every holiday and cooking big meals for her family.

Jean in survived by two daughters, Diane (William) Makela of Lindenhurst and Karen (Ed) Crane of Kenosha, WI; four granddaughters, Emily Makela and fiancé; Barrett Lucas, Melissa (Vladimir) Cevtkov, Hannah Crane and Rachelle (Adam) Nelson; one grandson, Brandon McMillan and fiancé, Dezirae’; six great-grandchildren, Elena, Abby, Gavin, Londyn, Noah and Caysen. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kenneth Duane Harvey; grandson, Eddie Crane, III and a brother, Robert Forster.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Centralia with Rev. Wade Halva officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City.

Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City is entrusted with the arrangements.
