Paula Dean Chapman (Qualls)
Paula Chapman, 66 of Metropolis, passed away at 12:50 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2019 at Baptist Health Paducah surrounded by her loving family.

Paula was retired, having worked for E.E.I. in Joppa for over 20 years. She was a member of the Brookport Church of God where she served as Sunday School Secretary for many years. Paula was a 1970 graduate of Shawnee High School.

Paula loved to be with her family and friends but she especially cherished the time she got to spend with her grandchildren. She loved making crafts and flower gardening. She also liked to go shopping and vacationing with her sisters. Paula was the anchor that kept her family together as she always helped coordinate family events and holiday meals.

Paula is survived by her husband, James; daughter and son-in-law, Lori (Mike) Bruce; three grandchildren, Candace Grant, Kirsten and Keegan Bruce; mother, Joyce Howell; father, Bobby Qualls; two sisters, Linda (Boyd) Cameron, Kimberly (Keith) Weekley; several in-laws, Martha (Leroy) Lemons, Hershel Chapman, Norma (Bill) Burke, Willie Chapman, Nancy (Alan) Austin and Emma Lou (Odie) Hutchinson and Terry Wright. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son David Brian Chapman; sister Brenda Wright and several brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 14 2019 at the Brookport Church of God, located at the intersection of (4th and George Streets) in Brookport with Rev. Charles Tate officiating. Interment will follow at Otterbien Cemetery in Pope County.
