Obituary for Misty Lee Smith

Misty Lee Smith
Misty Lee Smith, 38, of Orient passed away at 11:00 p.m., Monday, July 8, 2019 at her home with her loving fiancé by her side.

Misty was born October 2, 1980 in Texarkana, Texas to Charlette Ann (Larey) Rodwell and Randy Wayne Smith.

Misty enjoyed spending time with her fiancé Carl Jones. Together they enjoyed fishing and hunting. Misty enjoyed crocheting as well.

“Misty Lee Smith what a beautiful soul. She taught me true love. The deep kind. The once in a life time kind. The kind that when I wasn’t in her presence, I was always in a hurry to get back to her side. We were so happy just being together at home, or on our adventures hiking, fishing or hunting. It didn’t matter if it was just us. I thank God he let me have her for the time he did. I can’t wait to see her again one day and hold her for eternity. Yes, that's the kind of person Misty Lee Smith was. The kind that makes you want to be with her for eternity. As I said, that's a once in a lifetime kind of love. I hope this explains just a little of who she was. I can’t explain it all the way because you can’t really fully explain true love..”

Misty is survived by her fiancé , Carl Jones of Orient; mother Charlette Rodwell of Texarkana, Arkansas; half-sisters, Shondra Harris and Sheryl Smith; several aunts, Brenda Roberts, Marsha Kenyon, and Susan (Butch) Smith; an uncle David Smith; cousins Wayne and Evelyn Hunter, and Dennis Larey. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Misty was preceded in death by her father, and step-father James Rodwell.

Arrangements are pending. Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City is entrusted with the arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Memorial envelopes are available at the funeral home.
