Warren Bandy, 57 of Carterville and formerly of Zeigler passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at his residence.

Warren was born September 13, 1962, in Norfolk, Virginia to Texas Bandy and Bertha Retonia (Fowler) Bandy-King.

Warren was employed by General Dynamics for several years. He also worked in the boating industry. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a 1981 graduate of Zeigler-Royalton High School. While he was in high school, he played football, basketball and track. He was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed fishing for crappie, bluegill and bass. He also had a love for animals and being outdoors. He was a very talented musician and could play several instruments.

Warren had a great sense of humor and never knew a stranger, but his greatest joy in his life was his children.

Warren is survived by his daughter, Samantha Bandy, her son, Sawyer Heath Doty of Colorado Springs, CO; former wife, Michelle Heath; sister, Denise (John) Stoecklin of Marion; step-father, Alan King of Benton; close family friends, Deanna (Patrick) Smillie of Royalton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Heath and Dustin Bandy and a brother, Texas Bandy, Jr.
